Catching up!

This delivery experience was so much better than Collin's thankfully! We went in at 5:30am on December 17th for a scheduled C-section. They monitored me and did all the paper work for about two hours. It seemed like a fast two hours. With Collin it all happened so fast and crazy that I didn't really have time to get nervous and I didn't know what to expect. This time I got really nervous when Scott told me it was 7:00 already because that meant we would be going back to surgery in only a half hour! At 7:30 Doctor Bierer came and got us. I actually got to walk to the the surgery room. It was really weird to get up on the surgery table on my own! Its kind of a scary room! As they gave me the epidural and got me prepped they kept checking my legs to see if they were numb. My right side wasn't going numb very quickly. I could tell they were getting ready to start cutting and I started to cry because I had this huge fear that my right side wasn't numb and I was going to be able to feel it. Like something in a horror story! Scott was by my side the whole time. Then all of a sudden he said Julie you are cut open now so if you can't feel it then your a numb!!! It was such relief! We kind of laugh about it now! Then a few minutes later the baby was out! It was so great to hear him cry right away and they even showed him to me for a minute! When Collin was born the cord was wrapped around his neck 4 times and he had pooped so they had to suck him out first so he didn't inhale it into his lungs and I didn't get to see him for about an hour after he was born. It was so great that everything went so smoothly with Josh's birth! I also recovered ten time faster this time! They gave me a different pain med this time and it worked so much better for me. I was up and moving that night! Overall it was a great experience!

Our happy little family!

Getting ready to go home

Scott was so amazing to me during my recovery! He did everything and more! He is such an amazing husband and dad. I couldn't ask for more!

He decided to start a little Christmas tradition of making Sugar Cookies! As you can see Collin had a great time helping!

He loved frosting the cookies or eating the frosting anyway!

Christmas Eve in front of the tree! I just love this picture! Collin has such a cute little smile and you can just tell he is so happy to be a big brother!

We had a wonderful Christmas! Scott's family was so kind to pack up all there presents first thing in the morning and come to our little apartment! We all watched Collin be a little show off with all his stuff while we opened our presents. We enjoyed breakfast, games, and napping for the rest of the afternoon! It was a great day!

Collin playing with his Shake N Go car on Christmas morning!

Grandma and Grandpa gave him this awesome motorcycle trike!

The day after Christmas my mom came up and stayed with us for a week! It was great to have the help and company while Scott was at work and Collin enjoyed getting to know his Grandma Hess a little better! Sometimes in the morning when he wakes up he still says "Grandma upstairs sleeping?"

Josh is getting cuter every day! He stays awake for long periods of time during the day now and is starting to sleep pretty good during the night thankfully. As soon as his eyes open he thinks he needs to eat! I get the feeling he will chunk up pretty quickly!

My mom gave him this outfit. I think he looks so adorable in it! It shows how short his little legs are and how long his body is! I think it is so funny!

I was a little scared to bring out the swing with Collin around, but so far he is doing well at just looking not touching while Josh is in it. We will see if that continues.......I can hope right?? I just have to keep telling myself that he is only 2 years old!!

The last of Josh's cord finally fell off after three weeks so we gave him his first real bath! He loved it!

Scott always says that babies give him sleepy germs! Josh must have sleepy germs too! I love that Josh's mouth is open! They were both out cold!
We just love having Josh in our family! It actually feels like we are a real family now, not just a married couple with one kid! I am not sure how much I love being the only girl, but I guess it's a good thing they are all so dang cute!
