BIRTHDAY BOY!

Collin turned 1year old on the 27th! I can't believe it has been a year already! He is growing way too fast. We celbrated his birthday on the 26th. When he woke up we had balloons for him to play with. At first he just went and stood by them but wouldn't touch them. Then he sat down by them. He was acting like we would get mad at him if he touched them! It was really funny! I finally had to take his hands and hit the balloons. He finally realized it was ok, and loved them!
In the afternoon we took him to get his pictures taken at Jcpenney's. They turned out so cute! He was definatly showing his personality! They had wooden letters that spelled ONE for him to play with so he would hold still. The first thing he did was grab the O and put his face in the middle of it!! It was sooo funny! I will post them when we get them. It was very hard to get him to hold still so we are very happy with what we got.

Later that evening we headed to Scott's parents for the party!

Opening Presents!

He was much better at it this time than he was at Christmas!

My sister Heidi made this AWESOME cake! Thanks Heidi for all the time you spent. You are very talented! It is 100 times better than anything I could have done!!

Blowing out the candle! We tryed to teach him a few days in advance but he never quit got the hang of it!!

We thought he would dig right in and love it. He wouldn't touch it at first so I gave him a lick of the frosting. If you can't tell by the picture he didn't like it so much! It was yummy cake to so I don't know what the deal was. Oh well I guess it is a good thing. Saves me from having to deal with a belly ache!!

We went to his 1year check up today. It was fun to see how he has grown. He weighed 23lbs. 8oz (30%) and he is 30 1/2 inch. tall (75%). So he is growing good! When he was 9 months he weighed 25lbs so he has lost some weight from walking around, which is to be expected. We just love having collin in our home. He is really good at being 1! In all ways good and bad!! He has learned how to throw very good fits and how to wine very well. He has grown enough that he reaches new things that he isn't supposed to. Everyday I find myself moving something new and babyproofing a little more. For the most part he is a very good little boy! He has learned a few words (Please, hello, Uh-Oh, mom, dad, Oh) It is so fun to hear him say them and really know what he means! He loves to climb stairs but doesn't know how to go down them yet. He loves to play chase with his daddy! He runs and hides in the hallway! If there is ever anthing missing we just go look in the hall and it is usually there. That is his teritory! He has such a fun personality! We just love having him as part of our little family!!
